Yellowbrick celebrates 15 Years of Transforming the Lives of Emerging Adults

Yellowbrick, a National Center of Excellence specializing in the treatment of emerging adults and their families, opened its doors at The Consultation and Treatment Center and The Residence in Evanston, Illinois, 15 years ago on August 6, 2006, after a year and a half of intense planning.
The Founding Directors were Laura Viner, Ph.D., Dale Monroe-Cook, Ph.D., Robbie Bogard, LCSW, Pam Tansey, RN, LCSW, and Jesse Viner, MD. Alan Schore, Ph.D., was fundamental as a consultant in creating the developmental neurobiological model. Throughout the past 15 years, Yellowbrick has worked with almost 900 patients and their families.

Yellowbrick is a nationally recognized trauma and research-informed intensive treatment center serving adolescents & emerging adults ages 16-30’s. Yellowbrick’s Minding the Brain PHP/IOP is organized around the developmental emotional needs and maturing brain systems of emerging adults. MTB is an intensive in-depth individual and group psychotherapy program for those in The Residence or as a day program for outpatient. MTB focuses on the clinical dimensions of access to emotional experience, self-regulation, and the process of establishing and sustaining adaptive attachments. There are also speciality services for trauma recovery, substance use disorders, Soma Self/eating disorders, ReCognition/cognitive restoration. Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments are part of every Yellowbrick admission but can also be offered as a stand-alone option beginning at age 16 to determine the best course of treatment.
