Engage Strengthens Clinical Support for Gambling Addiction

Gambling addiction is becoming an increasingly relevant clinical concern for college-age young adults, especially as sports betting, online gambling, high-risk trading, and digital platforms become more accessible. Engage Young Adult Transitions is continuing to strengthen its clinical approach to better identify and support young adults whose gambling behaviors are impacting emotional regulation, financial responsibility, relationships, and progress toward independence.

Engage therapist Patrick Dotson, L.C.S.W recently completed clinical training focused on gambling disorder in today’s digital landscape. This training expands Engage’s ability to apply practical, stabilization-focused interventions that support accountability, healthier coping, improved decision-making, and real-world behavior change for young adults struggling with gambling addiction.
