Hopestream Expands: Expert-Led Coaching Now Available for Parents of Teens in Crisis

New group sessions offer parents of adolescents and young adults expert guidance in building connections and navigating mental health challenges

Hopestream Community, an online membership organization that supports parents of adolescents and young adults facing mental health and substance use challenges, has launched two new monthly group parent coaching programs. The programs are led by Rawland Glass, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and parent coach, and Dr. Wes Robins, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate in Consciousness and Society from the University of West Georgia. Both practitioners bring clinical expertise and a relational approach to their work with families. Sessions are held virtually every month and are available exclusively to Hopestream Community members as part of their ongoing membership benefits. Glass and Robins are the latest to join Hopestream's growing team of professional contributors, which includes licensed therapists Lindsay Rae Ackerman, LMFT, and Lisa Pepper-Satkin, MA, MFT - all united in the mission to provide parents with expert clinical support.

The programs were developed in response to the growing need among parents for structured, professionally led support as they navigate the complexities of raising adolescents and young adults with mental health concerns. Rawland Glass, who is also a therapist at Intra-Connected, LLC, a private practice specializing in family and relational therapy, leads a monthly group designed specifically for mothers. His sessions focus on relational skills and strategies that help parents strengthen their connection with their children, particularly during moments of conflict or emotional difficulty. Dr. Robins, whose approach is grounded in humanistic psychology—a framework that prioritizes the individual’s inherent capacity for growth and self-understanding—leads a separate monthly session that invites parents to examine the underlying dynamics driving their children’s behavior and their own responses. His program is particularly valuable for parents who feel stuck or overwhelmed, and for those supporting a child dealing with emotional dysregulation, substance use, or a mental health diagnosis. Hopestream Community was founded on the belief that parents cannot effectively support their children without adequate support for themselves. The addition of these two coaching programs reflects the nonprofit organization’s commitment to expanding access to credentialed, compassionate professionals who understand the specific pressures modern families face.

“These programs are not about quick fixes or scripted techniques,” said the cofounders of Hopestream Community. “They are about helping parents slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and build the kind of relationship with their child that makes real change possible.”

Monthly group sessions allow members to learn from one another and from the facilitating clinician, creating a community of real-world support alongside expert-led instruction.
