This year, The Dorm celebrates its 15th anniversary as a leader in young adult mental health treatment. To mark the occasion, it is proud to release its inaugural outcomes research and impact report just in time for Mental Health Awareness Month, available now at www.thedorm.com/research.
Five years in the making and spanning 750+ participants and 1,198 surveys, the outcomes report brings to life how The Dorm’s long-term treatment model is making a sustained impact on young adults overcoming some of the most complex primary mental health challenges.
Key takeaways include:

- Clinical improvements are wide-ranging, including 85% reduction in suicidal ideation, 87% reduction in psychiatric hospitalization, 36% reduction in symptoms of trauma and PTSD as well as 81% in symptoms related to psychosis and 72% reduction in symptoms related to eating disorders.
- Clients report +138% increase in well-being, which includes the ability to engage in work, find contentment in daily life, quality of life, and sleep well
- Clients feel more accepted by their peers (+32%), less rejected, and part of a social group/like they belong
