Uinta Academy is pleased to announce that Bailee Habel, CSW, has joined its clinical team as a Primary Therapist. In this role, Bailee provides individualized, relationship-focused care to adolescents and young adults while collaborating closely with families, residential staff, educators, and Uinta’s equine team.
Bailee previously served at Uinta Academy as direct care staff and in residential leadership, giving her extensive experience supporting students in the daily residential environment. Through those roles, she developed a deep understanding of how therapeutic growth unfolds outside scheduled sessions, including during moments of conflict, relationship repair, skill development, community engagement, and everyday life at home.
Her new role allows her to bring that understanding directly into individual and family therapy.
In addition to her work as a Primary Therapist, Bailee plans and clinically facilitates Uinta’s off-campus activities. She approaches these experiences with clinical intention, helping create opportunities for students to practice emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, flexibility, and healthy relationship skills in new environments.
At Uinta, integrated off-campus experiences are not separate from treatment. They provide students with opportunities to move beyond avoidance, tolerate uncertainty, try unfamiliar activities, and apply therapeutic skills with support from trusted adults. These activities and clinical interventions may include recreation, community events, cultural experiences, outdoor activities, and larger exploration trips.
Bailee’s approach reflects Uinta Academy’s broader clinical model, which is trauma-informed, relational, and individualized. Students participate in individual, group, and family therapy, with treatment reinforced throughout the residential environment through in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and relationship-based support.

Uinta’s family-style living environment allows therapeutic work to extend into daily routines, peer relationships, academics, household responsibilities, and community experiences. Therapists work alongside residential staff, teachers, families, and other members of the treatment team so that clinical goals remain connected to students’ everyday lives.

Bailee is known for bringing joy to everything she does. She’s deeply integrated on campus, building authentic connections with students.
Bailee shared, “If you can’t find me in my office, you will probably find me playing in the dirt with the horses, playing Just Dance with students, or joining in on whatever fun is going on in the homes.”
Bailee’s transition into the Primary Therapist role reflects Uinta Academy’s continued investment in clinicians who understand both formal therapy and the broader residential experience. Her background within the program gives her a valuable perspective on how students engage across settings, and how therapy can be reinforced through relationships, responsibility, challenge, and real-world practice.
