Virtual Ceu Join The Dorm Austen Riggs And 1000 Mental Health Providers On 9 12

The Dorm and over 1,000 registered mental health providers across 47 states will soon gather for the second of a two-part, landmark CE event in collaboration with Austen Riggs Center on the impact of the loneliness epidemic in young adults. This presentation is particularly timely after a recent article from the New York Times cites that the U.S. Surgeon General and the World Health Organization recognize loneliness and social isolation as global health concerns. While the first part of the two-part CEU took place last week on 9/5, you can still join The Dorm and Austen Riggs on Thursday, September 12th, 1-2 pm ET for 1 Virtual CEU, which will cover Therapeutic Solutions & Community Building, as below: In part two, we will explore clinical approaches to addressing concerns of loneliness and belonging in young adult populations, including the intersection of social issues such as access and barriers to care as key factors in young adults' experiences of loneliness. A  panel discussion featuring Erin Seery, MD, and Seth Pitman, PhD, of Austen Riggs will explore developmentally based interventions for loneliness reduction. Amanda Fialk, PhD, of The Dorm, will moderate. Learning Objectives
  • Identify at least one clinical approach to addressing concerns of loneliness
  • Restate one fundamental factor of satisfying personal relationships
  • Describe ways to enhance emotional connection with others
  • Describe strategies to reduce social isolation
