November Highlights at Black Pines & Openings Available

Black Pines Life, a transitional living program for young men ages 18 to 25, announces key updates as the program enters winter. One participant has moved on from the program, and another will graduate at the start of the year. Staff are supporting his transition into independent living through housing preparation, budgeting, and routine building. These changes create two open rooms for new participants ready to begin their path toward independence.

Throughout November, residents engaged in activities that reinforce confidence and community. Highlights included attending a Utah Jazz game, night mountain biking, and ice skating. One participant is also beginning work at Solitude Mountain Resort, where he will learn to snowboard as part of his role. These experiences support the program’s emphasis on real-world skill development, outdoor adventure, and structured growth.

Black Pines Life will host an in-house Thanksgiving dinner for current participants working through the holiday. As winter approaches, the program will integrate more snow-based activities and seasonal work opportunities. With two openings now available, Black Pines continues to welcome applicants who are ready for structured mentorship, life skills training, and a supportive environment designed for successful transition into adulthood.
