The Willows Highlights the Role of Nutrition in Whole-Person Healing

At The Willows, healing is supported through every part of the daily experience, including nutrition. Chef Emily prepares fresh, balanced meals each day designed to nourish both body and mind. From vibrant salads with leafy greens and plant-based proteins to fresh fruit and wholesome, comforting dishes, each meal is carefully crafted to promote physical strength and emotional well-being throughout the recovery journey.

Nutrition plays a key role in the healing process by helping to replenish essential nutrients, support brain health and mood stability, increase energy and mental clarity, and strengthen the body’s natural ability to recover. When women feel well-nourished, they are better able to stay present, engage in therapy, and fully participate in their recovery work.

“At The Willows, healing happens in every detail, including what’s on the plate,” said CEO Mick Masterson. “We believe that food is not just sustenance. It is a powerful tool for restoration and renewal.”

Meals at The Willows are an essential part of a whole-person approach to care. In this way, nourishment becomes not just part of treatment, but a steady foundation for healing and lasting change.
